Obituary for Margaret Virginia Savely
Margaret Virginia Savely, age 83 of Greenbrier, Tennessee died Saturday February 19, 2022, at the Waters of Robertson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 23, 2022, at 1 pm in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Jon Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 pm until 7 pm and again on Wednesday beginning at 10 am until the time of service.
Mrs. Savely was born April 4, 1938, in Robertson County, Tennessee to the late James W. and Riller Pulley Jones. Her husband, Lee Roy Savely, and sisters Myrtle Frances Eden, Kathleen Eden and Marjorie R. Jones also preceded her death. Margaret was a charter member of the Lights Chapel Baptist Church and was a retired cafeteria worker for the Robertson County Board of Education. She grew up in Adams by the Red River, attending the Bell School and graduated from Jo Byrns High School. Margaret love sewing, crocheting, cooking and especially her cats.
Surviving her are her sons and daughters-in-law, Randall Lee and Marjorie Savely of Ridgetop, Jeffrey Dale and Sheri Savely of Greenbrier and Roy Allan Savely of Greenbrier; grandson, Dustin Ray Savely and two great grandchildren.

Obituary for Jeffrey L. Pofahl
Jeffrey L. Pofahl, age 43 of Ridgetop, passed away on February 17, 2022 at his home.
He was born Jeffrey Lee Pofahl on October 3, 1978 in Madison, TN to Dale and Judy Pofahl the youngest of their two boys. Jeff was an avid baseball player growing up and a 1996 graduate of Greenbrier High School. He passed his love of all thing’s sports related to his sons, Taylor and Caleb. Jeff drove his boys all over Middle Tennessee for baseball, soccer, football and basketball games. He was so proud of the accomplishments they have made over the years. When they weren’t racing or at ballgames you could find Jeff spending time in the shop, grilling, or at a Nashville Predators game with family and friends along with working hard at Bath Fitters.
Jeff was introduced to the world of Drag Racing from the early age of 8, when longtime family friend Jason Dickens would take him to the track. Along with his dad, Jeff continued a family tradition of weekends spent at the track and rebuilding cars. Some of his favorite racetracks were Music City and Beechbend Raceway and his favorite cars were 1982 Malibu wagon and Vega wagon. Many of the memories the family shared was of a very kind man that loved his family and friends.
Jeff is survived by his sons, Taylor Pofahl and Caleb Pofahl; parents, Dale and Judy Pofahl and brother, Brian Pofahl.
A Life Celebration will be held on Monday, February 21 at 2pm with Brother Morris Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Michael Richter, Jason Dickens, Todd Phillips, Jimmy Anderson, Kory Anderson, Austin Boone, Erik Henderson, and Blayne Henderson serving as pallbearers and Nick Rives, Sam Anderson Dylan Richter and Michala Richter serving as honorary pallbearers. Obituary for Dorothy Marie Thomas
Dorothy Marie Thomas age 97 of Springfield passed away on February 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Dorothy was born on November 13, 1924 in Springfield, TN and married her best friend on January 21, 1939, Mr. Raymond Dudley Thomas. She adored her husband Dudley and they were a testimony to a Christ-centered marriage where Christ being in first-place in the home, then your spouse, then children, following by all others.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Dorothy loved sharing time with her family and friends and was known to be a very fun loving and spunky lady. She loved cooking for her family at every opportunity and made the most amazing feast for special holiday’s. Her grandchildren have found memories of visiting Granny and her making them “a pound of bacon and a gallon of sweet tea” at a moment’s notice.
Mrs. Dorothy loved gardening, especially creating a multitude of flower gardens each year up. She was a very precise and detail-oriented seamstress and loved sewing clothing for her daughters and herself. She loved to make quilts and was a masterful home-maker and home decorator. She took great pride in keeping a sparkling clean and well-organized home stocked with canned foods. She was tireless and a hard-worker. Mrs. Dorothy was a wealth of knowledge to her family and friends and they loved to hear all of her amazing stories from days gone by.
She was a devoted Christian of the Baptist faith with a firm faith and adoration for her savior, Christ Jesus. Her personal bible alone is a testimony of her faith and prayers from over the years. She deeply trusted and relied on Jesus for all of her strength, care and needs and that as well of her family and friends whom she prayed for each day.
Mrs Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Dudley Thomas, her son Jimmy Thomas, and daughter Peggie Thomas Huddleston.
She is survived by her daughter Gail Thomas (formerly Bolton) of Greenbrier, her sons Terry (Judye) Thomas of Ridgetop, and Ricky Thomas of Nashville; her son-in-law Tommy Huddleston of Gallatin, and daughter-in-law Diane Taylor Thomas of Greenbrier. Grandchildren Matthew (Brittney) Bolton, Andrew (Jenni) Bolton, Michael (Dana) Bolton, Dustin Thomas, Nikki (Dane) Little, Tammy (Buzz) Graves, Karen (Ben) Huddleston Phillips, Bo (Tammy) Huddleston, Joshua Thomas, Lindsay Thomas, Chris (Kimberly) Thomas, Laura (Joshua) Kelly, and a host of great and great-great grandchildren, as well as her special and devoted friend Carole Buck who
helped to take such good care of her over the years to help her be able to continue to live in her own home and honorary grandsons, Brian Graves and Stephen Hudak.
A Life Celebration was held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 1pm with Pastor Andrew Bolton officiating. The family received friends on Wednesday from 11am until the time of service. Mrs. Dorothy was laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Oakland Cemetery with Matthew Bolton, Andrew Bolton, Michael Bolton, Dustin Thomas, Brian Graves and Stephen Hudak serving as pallbearers.

Sara Rhiannon Smith White, 34, of Springfield, passed from this life on Wednesday February 16, 2022, at her home.
Her remains were cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
Sara was born October 20, 1987, in Nashville. She enjoyed making picture collages, writing, and playing interior decorating games. The highlight of her life was collecting anything that involved pig’s, especially the many pig figurines that she had collected and displayed in her home.
Sara was preceded in death by her mother: Tammy Sarver Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Michael White of Springfield, her father: Earl Richard Smith of Springfield, her brother: Morgan Russell Smith of Springfield, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Marvin and Mary Jane White of Bolivar.

Dottie Darlene Howell, age 68 of Springfield, TN died Tuesday February 15, 2022, at Tristar Northcrest.
A celebration of Life service will be Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 1 pm at the New Life Apostolic Church 4712 Clarksville Pike, Nashville, TN 37218.
Dottie was born November 9, 1953 in Marion, IN to the late Robert and Dorothy Miller Kidwell. Her brothers, Robert, Fred and Lester Kidwell also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Bo Howell; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Deborah Howell; daughter and son-in-law, Alisa and Nick Mahoney; grandchildren, Arianna Howell, Brent Howell, Payton Mahoney, Brooklynn Mahoney and brother, Charles Kidwell.

Jose Guadalupe “Lupe” Angel Lopez, 45, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday February 15, 2022, at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be conducted Tuesday February 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Anthony Lopez as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Lupe was born in Mexico on July 22, 1976. He was a communicate of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Springfield. He was the owner and operator of El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant. Lupe enjoyed watching soccer and working in his yard. His love was cars, both old and new, of all makes and models.
Lupe is survived by his sons: Jovani and Jonathan Angel both of Greenbrier, by his father and mother: Miguel Angel and Maria Eliza Lopez of Springfield, by his sister: Carmen Angel of Goodlettsville, and by his brothers: Chuy Angel of Goodlettsville, Jose Angel of Cross Plains, and Miguel Angel of White House.

Garland Williams, age 74 of White House, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Joshua Culver officiating. Burial followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with D.J. Hunter, Jordan Hunter, Jerry Bohanon, Brian Williams, Tracey Poff, and Paco Sanchez serving as pallbearers. The family received friends at the funeral home Friday from 3 until 8 PM and Saturday from 8 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Garland was born February 6, 1948 in Nashville to the late Garland and Virginia Crutcher Williams, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ann Herman Williams; daughters, Teresa Norris and Tammy Cunningham; son, Paul Bohanon; brothers, Jerry Wayne and Danny Ray; and sisters, Barbara Brown and Sandra Clouse.
Mr. Williams’ pride and joy was his grandchildren. He loved riding his Harley and was a member of the Harley Davidson Hogs Rivergate Division and the White House Cruise In. He enjoyed spending time working on his antique cars, owning a 1955, 1956, and 1957 Chevys.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jeremy Capps of White House; sons, David Bohanon of White House and Jerry Bohanon of Michagan; brothers and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Rebecca Williams of Nashville and Terry Roberts of Portland; sister, Sheryl Roberts of Nashville; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Obituary for Thomas “Tommy” Carter
Thomas “Tommy” Carter, age 62 of Madison and formerly of Cross Plains, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Centennial Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 18, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Clint Hopper officiating. The family received friends Friday from 12 PM until the hour of service.
Tommy was born July 29, 1959 in Cross Plains to the late Floyd Edward and Susie Young Carter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Carter and Billy Carter; sister, Linda Carter; partner, Roger Dale Loftis; and his dog, Jack.
He was a member of Covenant of the Cross Church in Madison. He retired from Middle Tennessee Mental Health where he worked as a technician. He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends and chatting with them on the phone. He was a talker as the family said and loved going out to eat. He enjoyed listening to Tanya Tucker songs and treasured his late dog, Jack.
Mr. Carter is survived by his brother, Horace Wayne Carter of Coopertown, and sisters, Mary Ann White of Smyrna, Peggy Curtis of Smithville, and Lela Chowning of Greenbrier.

Obituary for Bobby Wayne Wooten
Bobby Wayne Wooten, age 84, of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
A Memorial Service was conducted at 1pm Saturday, February 19, 2022 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Springfield.
The family received friends from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Wooten was born March 13, 1937 in Springfield to the late Marvin Gilbert Wooten and Lucille Fletcher Timmons. He was raised in Adams and went to Jo Byrns and played all sports and was recognized as one of the “Players of the Century” in basketball. He played football for the Austin Paye Governors and in 1959 he joined the Army and played football with the Screaming Eagles with the 101st Airborn. Mr. Wooten coached 3 years for the Babe Ruth Senior League in Springfield and also was an Assistant Coach at Springfield Jr. High under Coach Wayne Shoemaker for 2 years. He also owned many business throughout his life including B&P manufacturing and distributing company. He had a love for his family and friends and a passion for sports.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Wooten; daughter, Stephanie R. Shaver; a son, Greg Wooten; and sisters, Elizabeth Thaxton, Shirley Reeves and Virgie Cogbill.
He is survived by daughters, Bobbie L. Wooten, Cindy (Jo) Guinn, Valerie (James) Ward, and Jheri Beth (Mike) Haseltine; son, Russell (Tina) Wooten; a brother, Marvin (Sharon) Wooten; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He will also sadly be missed by Dwight Guinn, Hollie (Saul) Sadler, Dylan Guinn, Kaden Sadler, Bella Sadler, Tyler (Cierra) Lumsden, and John Luke Lumsden.

John Edward Burton, Jr, age 72 of Greenbrier, TN passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at his residence.
The funeral service was held 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 24th at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenbrier with Bro. Donnie Bryant and Bro. Gary Dillard officiating.
Burial followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Tanner Harris, Hunter Harris, Asa Harris, Brandan Moss, Joe Taylor and Tod Stevenson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Cavender, Ivan Bell, Jerry Taylor and Billy Burns. Visitation was 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd at the funeral home, 12pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 23rd at the funeral home and 1pm until time of service on Thursday, Feb. 24 at Calvary Baptist Church.
John was born in Detroit, MI on November 13, 1949 to the late Johnie Edward (Sr) and Thelma Harper Burton. He was also preceded in death by sister, Brenda Campbell and a brother, Dennis Burton.
He served in the US Army and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He loved his family first and foremost. He enjoyed his motorcycle, cars, woodworking, playing guitar and karaoke.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Matthews Burton of Greenbrier; sons, Trey (Tammy) Harris, Jason Harris, Morgan Harris all of Greenbrier; sisters, Deborah (Billy) Pyburn of Springfield, Angela (Sam) Madzia of Elmwood, TN; grandchildren, Tanner (Kaycee) Harris, Hunter Harris, Asa Harris, Brandan (Nicole) Moss, Miranda Stewart; great-grandchildren, Grayson Harris, Raylan Moss and Ryleigh Anne Harris.

Lillie Ann Stuard. age 85, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at NHC Springfield.
Graveside services were conducted at 11am Friday, February 18, 2022 in the Bellwood Cemetery in Adams with Bro. Jim Woodard officiating. Pallbearers were Wesley Grogan, Corbin Sweatt, Colton Sweatt, Brandon Gower, Gary Thompson and Ronald Paulus.
There was no visitation scheduled prior to the graveside service.
Mrs. Stuard was born November 16, 1936 in Cedar Hill, TN to the late George and Hattie James Thompson.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Stuard was preceded in death by her husband, Auther Gene Stuard.
Mrs. Stuard is survived by her daughters, Sherry Grogan and Sheila Carr; 3 grandchildren, Sheana Sweatt, Wesley (Angie) Grogan and Amber (Brandon) Gower; 4 great grandchildren, Corbin and Colton Sweatt, Brayden Grogan and Jack Gower; a sister, Ruth Farmer; and several nieces and nephews.

Janis was born in Pittsburg, MA on March, 10, 1960 to the late Clarence Ray (Sr.) and Evelyn Kilpatrick Williams. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Randall Williams.
She was a Manager at Opryland Hotel and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenbrier.
Janis loved her family and church family very much and enjoyed yard sales, planting and growing flowers.
She is survived by husband of 42 years, Oliver Dailey of Greenbrier; sons, Marty Dailey of Nashville, Mickey (Candace) Dailey of Nashville; siblings, Rev. Jimmy Williams of Pulaski, TN, Janie Campbell of Springfield, Clarence Ray (Wanda) Williams, Jr. of Pulaski, TN, Steve (Linda) Williams of Springfield; grandchildren, Andrea Dailey, Andrew Dailey and Nathan Dailey.

Obituary for Clifford Elwood “Woody” Harrell
“Woody” Age 66 of White House went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Residence of Alive Hospice. He was born July 29, 1955 in Tallahassee, FL to Clifford Minchew Harrell & Hadassah Stoutamire Harrell. Woody enjoyed running and was a sports enthusiast, especially favoring the Atlanta Braves and the Florida State Seminoles. He enjoyed watching Andy Griffith on television. He loved spending time with his friends and at his church, White House First United Methodist Church. He was known for calling friends on their birthdays, a church ministry that everyone enjoyed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Minchew Harrell; mother, Hadassah Stoutamire Bass Harrell; brother, Kirby Kenneth Bass. He is survived by his brothers, Harold Eugene (Gail) Bass, Tallahassee, FL and Maxwell Minchew (Phillis) Harrell, St. Simons Island, GA; sisters, Betty Koval, White House, TN and Joan Cox, Tallahassee, FL; many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2pm in the sanctuary of White House First United Methodist Church with Dr. Loyd Doyle officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary. Robert William “Robby” Ward, age 30, of Oak Grove, KY, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 21, 2022 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with James Alan Ward, Jr., DeCoda L. Ward, Michael Choate, Jesse Fisher, Jake Spicer and Ronnie Choate serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Ward was born May 1, 1991 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late James A. and Tamara Giffey Ward. He was a wonderful stay at home dad to his kids and a caring and devoted husband.
Mr. Ward is survived by his wife of 7 years, Kristin Choate Ward; sons, Robert Lee Ward and Hunter Alan Ward; daughter, Faith Ariel Ward; and brothers, James Alan Ward, Jr. and DeCoda L. Ward.

Obituary for Clint Franklin “Charlie” Pigg
Clint Franklin “Charlie” Pigg, Sr., 55, of Big Sandy, passed away on Saturday February 12, 2022, at his home.
Memorial services were conducted Saturday February 19th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bill Alexander officiating. Interment followed in the Rock Springs Cemetery. His nephews served as Honorary Pallbearers. The family received friends on Saturday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Clint was born March 11, 1966, in Madison to the late Norman and Ruth Jane Roberts Pigg. He was a graduate of Madison High School Class of 1984, was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, and designed custom boat parts. Clint enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, boating, and was an avid Vols fan. He was a big jokester and always enjoyed being with his family and friends, especially out on the water in his boat. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Peggy Jean Pigg Alexander.

Cora Lee Bateman Smith, age 96 of Clarksville, Tennessee, died Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Signature Healthcare.
Funeral services were conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 12:00PM on Wednesday, February 16th, with Pastor John Richardson officiating. Burial followed in Jarrell Cemetery in Clarksville with Kain Dorris, Tyler Yadon, Barry Johnson, David Grose, Matt Grose, and Justin Ho serving as pallbearers.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 16th from 10:00AM until the hour of service at 12:00PM.
Mrs. Smith was born on August 26, 1925 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Melvin & Floyd Elizabeth Herrell Bateman. She was a retired cook from the Montgomery County Nursing Home after over 31 years of service and was known as making the best chicken and dressing around. She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren in the summer months. Mrs. Smith was a faithful member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church for over 60 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Smith; sons, Fred & Randy Smith; daughter, Betty Holzkamper; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Erica (Mike) Dorris, Angela (Barry Johnson) Smith, Alicia (Jake) Berry, Tracy Holzkamper, Brittney (David) Grose, Jessica (Jon) Magill, and Julia (Adam) Carter; great-grandchildren, Kain & Evelyn Dorris, Tyler Yadon, Alannah Cotter & JT Green, Robert Holzkamper & Dillon Broadhead, Lexi & Brooke Ebbinger, Caitlin & Camryn, and Noah & Lincoln Carter; great-great grandchildren, Damon Cotter and Ada Holzkamper; and nieces, Mattie Louise Rose, Peggy Hoskins, and Cora Bell Stanley.

Obituary for Donald Reese Coleman
Donald Reese Coleman, age 72 of Greenbrier passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at NHC in Springfield, TN.
Funeral services were held at 12pm on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier with Bro. Sellers Crain officiating. The family received friends from 10 am until the time of service on Monday. The family requested no flowers.
Donald was born in Nashville, TN on June 6, 1949, to the late Donald and Mary E. Reese Coleman. He was also preceded in death by nephews, Jamey Coleman and Jon Edmonds.
Don worked as a Radio announcer for various radio stations throughout his career as a reporter. In his early days before scanners were available, Don would wait at the police station for stories, sometimes spending half the night on a bench at the station waiting for breaking news. Don was also a trusted advisor to Smokey Barn News for over 10 years. “Don’s knowledge of the area, history, culture, and reporting experience made him an invaluable asset to us,” said Smokey Barn News Founder Jim Ball.
Don was also a loving and kind caregiver for his mother for several years before she transitioned to a nursing home. He was an avid University of Tennessee fan, loved working on the computer and even doing some freelance weather forecasting and sharing them with his friends.
Don is survived by his sister, Donna (Mike) Edmonds of Springfield, extended family members and numerous friends.

Curtis Wayne Walker was born December 28, 1952, in Springfield, Tennessee to Raymonia Carney and the late Anthony Cone. His earthly life ended on February 7, 2022.
He is now resting with Jesus. He professed a hope in Christ and was a member of Star of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
He was educated in the Robertson County Schools, graduating from Bransford High School in the Class of 1970.
Curtis’s work history consisted of twenty -three years with Bruce Lumber Company and afterwards with Fabco for five years. He also worked with Hail and Cotton.
He was an avid Cleveland Browns Football Team fan. Whenever you saw him, he always had a smile. He loved family and coming together for family functions. He was a gentle, sweet man who just loved people.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Walker and Pamela Walker; grandparents, Ada Bell Woodson and Fred Walker; stepfather, Charlie Myles; other relatives and friends.
Curtis leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Barbara Turnley; children, Katina Turner, Adrian Etherly, Terrell Ethley, and Stanzez Bowens; grand – children, Janaya, Xavier, Brandon, Savannah, and Olivia; mother, Raymonia Carner; step -mother, Marilyn Cone; sisters, Deborah (Ralph) Boyd, Latoya Carney, Deresha Patterson, Karen Cone, Anthea Dunn, and Sonya Bowers; brothers, Richard Lee Carney; Anthony (Felicia Burns) Cone, Reginald (Locquetta) Cone, Tracy (Rebecca) Cone; sisters -in -law, Vera (Montica) Terry, Mai Turnley, Sheila Turnley, and Jean French; brothers – in -law, Carl Turnley and James Turnley; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; special friends, Tony Townsend, James Robert Clemons and Mitch Suggs.

Obituary for Carol R. Woodard
March 7, 1931- February 8, 2022
Carol R. Woodard, age 90, was welcomed into the arms of her loving Heavenly Father on Tuesday February 8, 2022. Mrs. Woodard was born in Neenah, WI in 1931. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wylie and Ester Rutherford, her brother Jimmy, her sister Jan and her beloved husband William (Bill) C. Woodard. After over 30 years of service, she retired as an employee of the State of TN.
She trusted Christ as her personal Savior in 1956 at Grace Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. Throughout the remainder of her life, she was an active member of her local church teaching Sunday School, serving in the nursery and volunteering wherever possible. Mrs. Woodard was a charter member of South Haven Baptist Church where she was faithfully involved. Carol loved her Savior, her church, her pastors and her family!
Proverbs 31:27-28, 30 “She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. A woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.”
Carol was immensely grateful that both of her sons are in full time gospel ministry. Jim (Carole) is the pastor Hopewell Baptist Church in Springfield, TN. David (Debbie) served on the pastoral staff of South Haven Baptist Church of Springfield, before transitioning into missionary work with the Baptist mission board, ABWE. David and Debbie ministered in England for 22 years before moving back to the US to serve at the International Headquarters. Carol was blessed with 6 beloved grandchildren: Laurel (Jonathan) Hammond, Caleb (Melanie) Woodard, Sarah (Mike) Click, Mary (Cameron) Collier, Micah (Lauren) Woodard, Jenny (Cody) McCarter and 21 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life was held at South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield on Monday February 14th at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Frank Gagliano officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with family serving as pallbearers – Caleb Woodard, Micah Woodard, Cody McCarter, Mike Click, Jonathan Hammond, Cameron Collier. Honorary pallbearers were special friends, Nall Hensley, Mary Nicholson, Jerry Fugua, Orville Gilley and David Randolph. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 noon until the hour of the service on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ministry of Love at South Haven Baptist, which blesses those in need with gifts of encouragement. All donations may be sent c/o the Robertson County Funeral Home, who is in charge of Mrs. Woodard’s funeral arrangements.

Mr. Savley was born March 24, 1931 in Coopertown to the late William Henry and Amanda Wilson Savley. He was a farmer all his life.
In addition to his parents Mr. Savley was preceded in death by 7 brothers, Bates, Henry, Charles, Shelby, Albert and Joe and John Edward (twins).
Mr. Savley is survived by a nephew, Donald Ray (Charleine) Savley; and a great niece, Rebecca (Andy) Dickinson.

Kevin was born on August 19, 1969 in Nashville, Tennessee to Larry & Sandra Shadowens. He has worked for A.O. Smith as an IT Specialist for over 30 years. He was an avid Alabama football fan and loved Garth Brooks music. He also enjoyed baseball and coached many young players in the Pleasant View Dixie Youth Program, including his son. Kevin loved his family and was a member of Joelton First Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Gina Shadowens; son, Mason Shadowens; daughter, Katie Shadowens (fianceꞌ Nick Moon); grandson, Mitchell Grief; parents-in-law, Mike & Reba Poole; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Jacob & Candi Schutt, Josh & Paige Poole, and Tim & Colleen Caldera; cousins, Timothy & Desiree Caldera; niece, Lilly Poole; and nephews, Alex & Nate Schutt and Camden Poole.

Age 76 of Springfield passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center. She was born February 12, 1946 in Laurinburg, NC to Roosevelt & Annie Mae Bass. She worked as a desk clerk for a tire shop but was disabled and spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother. She loved caring for her yard and kept all of the weeds pulled. She enjoyed painting, sewing and was an avid reader, especially Stephen King books.. She also enjoyed watching Judge Judy on television.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Huggins; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; 1 great-grandson. She is survived by her sons, Rodney (Tina) Huggins, Springfield, TN and Johnny Huggins, Phoenix, AZ; brother, Rochester Bass, Hamlet, NC; sister, Jeanette (Curtis) Locklear, Laurinburg, NC; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Coles was born on December 12, 1945 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Jimmie & Mary Lou Mills. He was a retired truck driver for UPS and was retired from the United States Army having served two tours in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Neal Coles; brother, Joseph Coles; and sister, Jackie Griffin.

Age 79 of Cottontown, formerly of Michigan passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Centennial Medical Center. He was born January 25, 1943 in Brownsville, Texas to Henry Ernest Knack and Joan Amelia Stuesser. He was retired as a Production Supervisor from Shell Oil Company with 40+ years of service. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and attended White House First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing pool, woodcarving, making stained glass and building things. He was a constant “Mr. Fixer”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Ernest Knack, Joan Amelia Stuesser and Fred & Ivaleen Weissel; 2 brothers, Richard Knack and Louis Knack. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Knack, Cottontown, TN; sons, John Knack, Jr., Clarksville, TN and Ken (Jessi) Knack, Cottontown, TN; daughter, Amanda (Michael) Orr, Chapel Hill, TN; 8 grandchildren, Ben (Sarah) Knack, Anna Knack, Ashlyn Orr, Bralen Knack, Cameron Orr, Gage Knack, Kenzie Knack and Lila Knack.

Ms. Massey is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sandra Suter and Billy Suter; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Scott Gregory; brother, Jack Suter; sisters and brother-in-law, Ann Spock, Jenny Straton, Patricia and Jerry Nash, and Nancy Friedrich; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
