Obituary for Jordan Allen Lynch

Jordan Allen LynchJordan Allen Lynch, age 19, of Orlinda, died Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Orlinda from injuries sustained in an automobile accident (more) . Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Milldale Chapel with Bro. Kenny Chyle officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Caleb Knecht, Austin Lynch, Tyler Briley, Cody McCloud, Ben McCloud, and Jacob Lynch serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 until 8 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until the hour of service.

Mr. Lynch was born May 6, 1999 in Sumner County. He enjoyed his free time fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by his mother, Holly Diana Briley and grandparents, Charles and Margie Nelson Briley.

Obituary for Anna Sue Bosley Bennett

Anna Sue Bosley BennettAnna Sue Bosley Bennett, age 100, of Springfield, TN and formerly of Owensboro, KY, died Friday June 15, 2018 at Northcrest Medical Center.

The family will receive friends on Friday June 22, 2018 from 2-4 pm at Springfield First United Methodist Church. There will be a memorial service officiated by the Rev. Kaury Edwards on Monday June 25, 2018 at 3 pm at the Wesleyan Heights UMC in Owensboro, KY. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 pm until the hour of service at 3 at the Wesleyan Heights UMC.

Mrs. Bennett was born September 29, 1917 in Daviess Co., KY to the late James Weaver and Pauline Bennett Bosley. Her brothers, Franklin, Jim, Sam and George Harold Bosley and her sisters, Mary Ellen Stinson, Alice Murphy, Joyce Hawes and Martha Jo Foster also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harold M. and Ann Bennett of Elizabethtown, KY; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Richard Lutz, M.D. of Discovery Bay CA, Brenda and Gary Oldham of Springfield; sisters, Louise Thrift of Palos Verdes CA, Mildred Ward of Owensboro; grandchildren, Dr. Kimberly Lutz (Dr. Mark Elliott), Jennifer Renner (John), Elizabeth Ann Bondia, Anna Laura Bennett (Sean Dummitt), John Robert Bennett, Kary Holland (Ed), Kathy Madvig (Kurt) and thirteen great grandchildren.

floral squareAnna Sue lived a full life of service to others. She was a charter member of Wesleyan Heights UMC where she was a member of the Vanguard class. At age 70, she served on a mission trip to Costa Rica. She was a social worker for the City of Owensboro, a member of the Pilot Club and a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, an excellent seamstress and blue ribbon winning quilter. Anna Sue would like to be remembered using her expression, “She Lived and She Lives”.

Betty Doss WilkinsBetty Doss Wilkins, age 83 of he Hopewell Community in Springfield, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Woodard and Bro. Bobby Hogan officiating. Burial followed in Hopewell Cemetery with Sam Andavazo, Jeff Doss, Mike Cobb, Barry Turns, Steve Wilkins, and Dwayne Wilkins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Porter, Jeff Wilkins, Rogers Turns, Robert Dale Anderson, Tommy Hogan, Nathan Fisher, Woodrow “Woody” Wilson, Don Wilkins, Mike Wilkins, and Jeff McClard. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the hour of service.

Mrs. Wilkins was born April 22, 1935 in Robertson County to the late Edward and Maud Hulsey Doss. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult II Sunday School Class that she dearly loved. She was a homemaker and a member of the Nashville, Bowling Green, Lebanon, and Murfreesboro Iris Societies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and Tom Doss.

floral squareShe is survived by her husband, Wilburn Wilkins of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Kathie Wilkins of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and David Porter of Springfield; sister, Inez Turns of Springfield; sisters-in-law, Jean Doss and Sheila Doss, both of Springfield; grandchildren, Jason Wilkins, Joseph Wilkins, Pvt. Benjamin Wilkins, and Liz Wilkins.

Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Ford and Robert Drake. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 AM until the hour of service.

Mrs. Farrar was born November 12, 1922 in Lincoln County to the late James Hill and Lucy Gunter Chapman. She was a member of Main Street Church of Christ and was retired from Kroger where she worked in the meat department. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Warren Farrar; brother, Earl Wilson Chapman; and sister, Christine McCroy.

She was born in Nashville October 15, 1962 to the late James Dozier, Jr and the late Dorothy Walden Webb.

She was a retired school teacher from the Metro Nashville Public Schools. She was active in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, loved to read, cook and loved her family very much. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and also attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Burial will follow Springfield Memorial Gardens with Lynn Ross, Brad Walker, Jonathan Drake, Wesley Ross, Austin Ross and Taylor Ross serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 4-8pm and again on Wednesday from 12pm until the hour of service at 2pm.

Mrs. Ross was born to the late Doyle C. and Gladys Elliott Corlew on April 8, 1932 in Clarksville, Tennessee. She was a homemaker and was a member of Heads Free Will Baptist Church.
