Obituary for Theresa Jane Knight

The world became immensely brighter on November 7th , 1970 when Theresa Knight was born in Clarksville, TN to James William Knight (deceased in 2016) and Linda Gayle Hyde (deceased in 2000).

Theresa was a spunky child, full of life and always valued family above all. When she was 8 years old, her sister, Jennifer Knight was born and Theresa immediately became her second mom, through her life she loved Jennifer as one of her own children.

Fast forward to Theresa at 21, having her first daughter Ashleigh in 1992. All Theresa ever said she wanted was a big family, and to give that family more than she ever had growing up, and she did. She had her second daughter, Haleigh (now married to Ethan Farmer), in 1995 and then her son, Jeffrey (now married to Nicole Brown), in 1997. Theresa met her husband, Charles Trimble, at Electrolux in 1998 where they started dating and fell in love. In finding Chuck, Theresa also gained an additional daughter, Misty, which made the family she always wanted even larger. They all built a life and a lot of memories in Adairville, KY.

In her professional life, Theresa started working at Electrolux in 1994 in the Enamel department, spraying stoves. She worked for 30 years to become named Launch Team Manager in the Research and Development department. Theresa was a dedicated mother, a caring and loving wife, a motivated hard-worker, and the most genuine friend many people ever had. There wasn’t one thing Theresa wanted on this Earth that she didn’t work for and get for herself. She held so much pride for her work, her children, and most importantly her grandchildren: Presley (17), Abel (5), Harley (6), Allie (2), Palmer (2) and Emma (10 mo.). Theresa was also very involved with her niece, Kassidey Gibbs, who was like one of her children; as well as Kassidey’s two children, Miah (4) and John (7 mo.). I wish I could list every person she cared deeply for, because there was no limit for the love her heart could give. She probably touched one new person every single day of her life, and always encouraged us to be kind and make someone else’s day.

floral squareAll of this to say, this Earth became dimmer on April 21st at 1:06am when Theresa Jane Knight left her pain behind to be at peace at the age of 52. If you knew her, you’d agree that she would want us all to celebrate the person that she was.

Visitation was held at Austin & Bell in Springfield, Tennessee on Monday April 24th from 4pm to 8pm. Additional visitation hours were from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday, April 25th , with the Funeral Service starting at 1pm and the burial followed at Brewers Chapel in Chapmansboro, TN.
