New TriStar Freestanding Emergency Room Proposed for White House

WHITE HOUSE, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is set to bring critical emergency services to White House with plans for a new freestanding emergency room. This development promises to enhance healthcare in a community that has doubled in size over the past two decades.

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center aims to bring emergency room care directly to where residents are, reducing travel time and improving access to life-saving services. Last year, almost 8 in 10 emergency room visits from the White House community were to TriStar facilities in the region.

TriStar Hendersonville intends to apply for a Certificate of Need with the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission to get the project underway. The proposed site for the new facility is at the intersection of Raymond Hirsch Parkway and Highway 31W, a central location that should be easily accessible for many residents.

“We are proud to be the hospital of choice for the residents of White House and surrounding communities, and we look forward to bringing our care closer to home,” said Justin Coury, chief executive officer of TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. “This new freestanding emergency room will ensure that residents can access high-quality emergency care much faster, which can save lives.”

The proposed freestanding ER will include 11 treatment and exam rooms, a trauma room, an imaging department, a nursing station, and other support spaces. Unlike hospital-based ERs, freestanding ERs can operate independently, allowing them to be situated in areas like White House that are far from the nearest hospital.

TriStar Hendersonville has been serving Robertson and Sumner Counties for over 40 years, and this latest initiative underscores their commitment to expanding healthcare access in the area. Coury emphasized that the facility will enhance the community’s ability to receive timely emergency care, thus potentially saving lives.

“TriStar Hendersonville and TriStar NorthCrest have been supportive of the White House community for decades,” Coury said. “Our healthcare network helps ensure patients have access to the right care, at the right time, in the right location.”

As the hospital moves forward with its application, TriStar Hendersonville is encouraging community members to show their support for the project. For more information and to express support, residents can visit TriStarWhiteHouseER.com.
