One Transported Following 22nd Ave Rollover In Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A rollover crash in Springfield sent one person to the hospital late Thursday. The crash occurred on East 22nd near Cherry St, the first call coming into 911 at 10:44 p.m. LOCATION OF CRASH
The vehicle, traveling on 22nd Avenue, left the roadway, entered a ditch, and rolled before coming to rest on its side propped against a tree. Springfield Fire, Springfield Police, and Robertson County EMS responded to the scene.
While on scene, a Springfield officer conducted a Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test known as an eye tracking test on a person believed to be the driver. This test is commonly used to assess impairment but can also help evaluate medical conditions such as head trauma.. Shortly thereafter the individual seemed to experience delayed post-accident symptoms and they were transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
At this time, the cause of the crash remains unknown, and authorities have not released any additional information.
