Robertson County Man Charged in Fatal Kentucky Crash
ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Robertson County man is facing numerous charges following a fatal crash in Kentucky that claimed one life. The collision, which occurred in the 300 block of Lovers Lane, MAP resulted in the death of a Bowling Green KY mother of two.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Ashley C. Porter, 40, of Bowling Green, had died as a result of the crash. According to the police report, Porter was traveling south on Lovers Lane when her vehicle was struck head-on by a northbound car driven by Ryan T. Bagwell, 30, of White House, TN, who had veered into her lane, the release stated.
Bagwell was transported to the Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. While at the Medical Center, officers took him into custody.
Bagwell is facing multiple charges, including:
- Vehicular Homicide while Under the Influence of Drugs
- Criminal Mischief, 1st Degree
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree
- Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, 3rd Offense
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Marijuana

Ashley Carol Porter, mother of two daughters, Olivia and Caroline, was born, October 12, 1983, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Ashley was a graduate of Bowling Green High School, Class of 2002, and Southcentral Kentucky Community & Technical College leading to her career as a Registered Medical Assistant and continuing her education as a Medical Coding Specialist. She was employed at Commonwealth Pain & Spine Center for 15 years.
Ashley met David Porter in high school and they were later married in 2009. According to her online obituary, the birth of her daughters Olivia and Caroline fulfilled her dreams of becoming a mother.
Ashley loved doing her daughter’s hair, taking family trips, having movie night at home, reading poems by Maya Angelou, and she was a foodie. She worshipped with Hillview Heights Church, and her love for family and friends was indisputable with a smile that would light up the room.
Services for Ashley were held today (July 30, 2024) at the Burnam & Son Mortuary, Inc. located at 201 Center Street in Bowling Green, KY. FULL ONLINE OBITUARY
