Rollover Runaway Horse And Buggy Crash

CLARKSVILLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –About 8 am this morning, officers responded to an unusual call for service. The call came in as Buggy vs Mailboxes. When Officer Kurtich arrived on the scene, he found the call was not overstated, dramatic, or fictitious.

A woman was the driver of a horse with buggy down Suiter Rd when the horse got spooked for an unknown reason and took off running wildly. The buggy driver was forced to exit the buggy and landed on the roadway sustaining some minor scrapes, cuts, and bumps.

But, the horse continued onward with the buggy still attached and disappeared over a hill.

A man who saw what occurred stopped and picked up the woman and they went in pursuit of the horse and buggy. As the horse was running down the road, the buggy hit and knocked over four mailboxes. The collision with the mailboxes caused the buggy to flip and collide with a parked car, at which time, the horse was freed and continued until it was located, unharmed, on Tylertown Rd. The horse was recovered and taken into custody by the owner.
