Springfield Football Star “Fatcat,” Plays All-Star Game On ESPN Tonight

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Dayron “Fatcat,” Johnson will suit up one last time for his high school football career when he steps on the field in Fortera Stadium at Austin Peay State University tonight. He was selected to be part of the Toyota East/West All-Star Game at 7 p.m.

Springfield High School football coach, Dustin Wilson is justifiably proud of Johnson and his gridiron accomplishments that have earned him this honor.

“Anytime you get something like that it’s a huge honor,” said Wilson. “You’re talking about 16 coaches from all around the state sitting down together and selecting the best kids. It’s a huge honor to have your name among the best in the state.”

Tonight’s game will be televised live on ESPN 3 for SHS family, and community residents to view.

Referencing the game, Wilson noted that, “It’s exciting for Dayron and the community for him to get to play the game one more time.”
