UPDATE: Greenbrier Schools Go on Lockdown Due to Swatting Incident
GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – Greenbrier Elementary, Middle, and High School were placed on lockdowns this morning while law enforcement addressed an external situation. There was no disruption to classroom activities, and all students were reported safe by Robertson County Schools.
According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, the lockdowns were in response to a report of a suicidal subject in the Greenbrier Elementary School parking lot. After further investigation, it was determined to be a swatting call. As a precaution, law enforcement will maintain an increased presence at the schools.
Smokey Barn News has learned that Robertson County may not have been the only county affected. At least one school in Davidson County received a similar swatting call this morning. Sumner County, however, reported no such incident. We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
WEDNESDAY: 3:30 AM
Cooler evenings are due to Earth’s axis tilting Tennessee away from the Sun. Even though we’re gradually getting closer to the Sun, the tilt leads to colder months ahead.
