It was supposed to peak at 86°F today, but we’ve obviously surpassed that. At this rate, we might skip straight to winter! The trees haven’t even started turning yet— When fall does hit we’ll get about a week of it before it snows, assuming we get a winter! @;{>)

Vehicle rolls multiple times then drives to gas station…
A Honda CR-V with four occupants on board drove to a nearby gas station after a rollover crash on I-65 South near the 110, according to Millersville Fire Chief Matt Stewart. The vehicle reportedly rolled multiple times before making its way to the gas station, where officials met the occupants. Stewart stated that two of the occupants walked from the scene, while the other two drove the vehicle to the gas station. One person was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, but no life-threatening injuries were reported. Powered by: Ace Hardware Springfield

ROLLOVER CRASH
I 65 North at mile marker 104 (Millersville) we had a rollover crash. According to Millersville Fire Chief Matt Stewart, no major injuries were reported. Northbound lanes were down to one lane for a short time.

A Message from Sheriff Van Dyke
The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office will be accepting donations TODAY for East Tennessee flood victims via the East Tennessee Sheriffs. Our eastern neighbors are in desperate need of bottled water, batteries, and flashlights. If you would like to donate, please bring these items to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office (507 S Brown St, Springfield, TN) today (Friday, October 4th), until 4:00 p.m. Thank you for answering this call of need and showing the world why we are the Volunteer State.

Traffic Accident on N Walnut St. in Springfield Leaves Vehicle Heavily Damaged
A young driver left the roadway on N Walnut St. in downtown Springfield, striking a telephone pole late this afternoon. Neighbors reported hearing a loud bang at the time of the crash. The vehicle, which sustained heavy front-end damage, bounced off the pole, leaving it cracked but still standing. The vehicle will likely be considered totaled.
While police investigated the scene, no serious injuries were reported. Observations made at the scene did not indicate signs of impairment, and no sobriety tests were conducted. Additionally, no arrests were made. The reason why the driver veered off the road remains unclear. N. Walnut St. was closed for a brief period to allow authorities to assess the situation.

WEDNESDAY 12:30 AM
BREAKING: Active Structure Fire in Adams
—First responders are currently working to contain a fully-involved barn fire on the 4400 block of Goodman Road in the Adams area. Multiple agencies have been dispatched to the scene. If you’re in the area, please be cautious and watch for emergency vehicles en route. Drive with care and give first responders the space they need to work safely.

HOW TO DONATE TO FLOOD VICTIMS
For those of you who have reached out to Smokey Barn News looking for information on how to donate to flood victims in Tennessee, Robertson County EMS Director Brent Dyer and his team are arriving in the affected area right now. Brent and his team, along with the Emergency Management Agency, are delivering an ambulance donated by Robertson County to assist following the loss of four ambulances in the affected area. Once Brent and his team have had an opportunity to assess the area and determine how we as a county can best support them with donations, we will bring that information to you.
