Below Smokey has listed all the (current) dates and times of open houses for Robertson County public schools, back-to-school bashes, supply lists, School year calendar and more.

*NOTE: Students who were enrolled in Robertson County Schools on May 25, 2022 are considered returning students! Returning student registration will open July 25, 2022 and is completed through the parent’s PowerSchool account using a web browser (not available on the PowerSchool app).

Do I have to answer all the questions?
Questions marked with a red asterisk (*) are required.

What if I make a mistake?
If you would like to make a change prior to submitting the form, you can either navigate back to the page using the “<Prev” or “Next>” buttons. Or if you are on the Review page, click on the underlined field. If you have already submitted the form, you will need to contact your student’s school so they can make the change for you.

I’ve completed the form. Now what?
Once you have finished entering your information, click “Submit.” This will send all of the information you’ve entered to the school. If you cannot click on this button, you will need to make sure that you have answered all REQUIRED questions.

What if I have more than one student in the district? Do I need to do this for each child?
Yes, because you’ll need to provide information that is specific for each child.

Saturday, July 23, 2022 13th Annual Portland Back to School Bash from 8 AM – 11 AM at the Richland Park by Portland Chamber of Commerce

Saturday, July 23rd from 8-11am at Richland Park
**Students must be enrolled in a Portland school Pre-K through 12 (includes private schools in Portland, home school students, Oakmont Elementary & North Sumner Elementary)
**All students must have a parent/guardian present.
**Students must be present to receive a backpack.
**Please bring a driver’s license or utility bill to show proof of residence in Portland

First 700 students will receive a backpack with school supplies & hygiene products. Sponsor booths will have games or activities set up, and inflatables will be set up as well! Students can also be entered into a bicycle giveaway!

Saturday July 23, 2022  RiverGate Mall Back to School Book Bag Giveaway AT 12 PM – 2 PM


Join us for our Annual Back to School Book Bag Giveaway!
Saturday, July 23rd from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

500 Book Bags filled with school supplies will be handed out to students in grades 1-5* Activities will include a face painter, balloon artist, bounce house, selfie station, character meet and greet
* Child must be present to receive book bag/supplies. While supplies last.

Location: Enter through the Food Court and make a right past the Food Court Eateries.

Clothing, School Supplies & Computers
Tennessee’s traditional sales tax holiday on clothing, school supplies and computers begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Click here for more information about what items are tax-exempt during this holiday.

Food & Food Ingredients
For 2022, Tennessee’s General Assembly has approved a sales tax holiday on food & food ingredients (grocery sales tax suspension) which begins at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Click here for more information.

Gun Safes & Safety Equipment
For 2022-2023, the Tennessee General Assembly has approved a sales tax holiday on gun safes and safety devices that begins at 12:01 a.m. on July 1, 2022 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2023. Click here for more information.
