TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center CEO highlights the need for new ER in White House

WHITE HOUSE, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – Sean Patterson, chief executive officer of TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, knows firsthand the importance of having accessible, high-quality healthcare in the communities TriStar Health serves.

With TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center located less than 15 miles from White House, Patterson has seen the growing reliance of the region on TriStar Health facilities. Now, with plans underway to establish a freestanding emergency room in White House, he’s eager to bring that trusted care even closer to the community.

“TriStar Health facilities are already the go-to choice for so many in this region,” Patterson said. “Our goal is to ensure that the high-quality care people expect from TriStar Health is not only available, but is easily accessible when and where it’s needed most. TriStar Hendersonville’s proposed ER in White House is a critical step in making that happen.”

White House residents have increasingly turned to TriStar Health for their emergency healthcare needs. Last year, almost 8 in 10 emergency room visits from the community occurred at TriStar Health facilities. The proposed emergency room, to be located at the intersection of Raymond Hirsch Parkway and Highway 31W, aims to address this demand by bringing these services closer to home.
“Our focus is on providing exceptional care, and that starts with being there for our patients in their moment of need,” Patterson said. “By bringing a freestanding ER to White House, we’re eliminating the barriers that distance can create. This means quicker care, better outcomes, and peace of mind for families.”
The new facility will feature 11 treatment and exam rooms, a trauma room, and an imaging department, offering a full range of emergency services to a town that has seen rapid growth in recent years. For Patterson, this project represents TriStar Health’s commitment to evolving with the needs of the communities it serves.

“We’re not just reacting to the growth in White House—we’re proactively meeting the needs of this community,” he added. “TriStar Health’s reputation for excellence in healthcare is well-established, and this new ER will allow us to extend that level of care even further. Our patients deserve nothing less.”
Patterson encourages the White House community to support the project as the application for a certificate of need progresses with the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission.

“This is about more than just building a facility,” Patterson said. “It’s about making sure that everyone in White House has immediate access to the best care possible, right here at home.”
