Two Cottontown Men Die In Unrelated Traffic Accidents Overnight

COTTONTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Two Cottontown men were killed overnight in two separate unrelated traffic accidents.

Richard Farliss, 45, of Cottontown, Tennessee, apparently on foot, was killed early Wednesday at 12:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville.

According to Metro Nashville Police, the preliminary investigation shows that, for reasons unknown, Farliss was lying in the roadway when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver told police that he attempted to stop but was unable to avoid hitting Farliss. Farliss was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died.

Crash on Hwy 25 near Cottontown takes the life of Christopher Marchbanks

There was no evidence at the scene to suggest Farliss had been struck earlier by another vehicle. The driver showed no signs of alcohol or drug impairment.

About an hour earlier, Christopher Marchbanks, 49, of Cottontown TN, was killed in a fiery crash on Hwy 25 just outside Cottontown. Both he and his dog were killed in the crash. FULL STORY
