VIDEO: Vehicles Nearly Stacked In Springfield Rollover Crash

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A three-vehicle rollover crash in Springfield left two vehicles nearly stacked on Memorial Blvd Sunday morning.

The crash occurred on Memorial Blvd at Black Patch Rd just a block up from Payne Chevrolet, the first call coming into 911 at 10:19 am. LOCATION OF CRASH

The three-vehicle crash involved a passenger car, a minivan, and a pickup. According to officials with the Springfield Fire Department, the occupants of the van were still trapped inside the vehicle when Firefighters arrived. With the vehicle on its side and nearly on top of another vehicle, it was decided that the safest option was to extricate the occupants through the windshield.

Officials at the scene told Smokey Barn News that somehow everyone escaped the crash without injury and no one was transported. As far as the cause of the crash, the Springfield Police Department is leading the investigation. Though they have not yet released their findings, there appeared to be no sign of impairment and no one was taken into custody. What we do know at the moment is the silver passenger car was sitting at the light (not in motion) then the minivan and pickup truck collided in the intersection.

The impact spun the minivan around and into the silver passenger car that was sitting at the light.  The driver of the silver car (who had a front-row seat to the crash) told Smokey Barn News that as the crash unfolded in front of him, it all seemed to happen in slow motion followed by a strong impact. “I’m just glad that no one was seriously injured in the crash.”

If any further details are released on the crash we will bring them to you.
