Obituary for Archie Toon
Archie Ray Toon, age 55, of Springfield, died Sunday, April 18, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Reverend James Rawls officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10am until the hour of service at 2pm.
Mr. Toon was born April 1, 1966 in Springfield, TN to the late Forrest and Lillie Ruth Toon. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Jesse Holman Jones Hospital which is now NorthCrest Medical Center. Mr. Toon was a “fix-it” man and a jokester. He loved working on model cars, drawing, and wrestling matches.
In addition to his parents Mr. Toon is preceded in death by his brother, Forrest Lynn Toon and his nephew, Michael Ray Toon. He is survived by his nephews, Billy Joe Toon and Jason Lynn Toon, both of Springfield; and nieces, April (Michael) Rittenberry of Springfield and Kimberly Bolton of Millersville.

Gregory Scott Frankhauser, age 60, of Lafayette, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center.
He was the General Manager for ABM Parking at the Nashville International Airport.
Greg is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane Frankhauser; son, Kyle Frankhauser; daughter, Kiri Frankhauser; parents, Wayne and Nancy Frankhauser; and a brother, Brett (Stephanie) Frankhauser.

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, Jason Wayne Carney’s faith became sight. He was age 36 and of Chapmansboro, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 1:00PM on Thursday, April 22nd, with Pastor Brian Lewis and Bro. Jon Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in Attebery Cemetery, 1050 Attebery Rd, Ashland City, with Pastor Mike Burnette conducting the committal service. Eric Crabtree, Travis Payne, Frank Mir, John Justice, Daniel Rojas, and Dennys Lopez will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 21st from 2:00PM until 8:00PM, and again on Thursday from 11:00AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.
Jason was born on May 23, 1984 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Jerry & Sheryl Carney. He was a Contractor and the owner of Sturdy Fence & Deck and Joy Construction Co. He was immensely talented in his trade and was well known for his talent and quality of work.
Jason was an incredible & loving husband, dad, son and brother. He was an active church member who loved both 180 Church and LifePoint Church.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Phineas & Mable Carney, Ray Cunningham, Ethel & Phillip Clement, Joyce Attebery, & Hazel Head.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Lindsey Carney; children, Hudson, Hollynn, Heath, and Harrison Carney; brother, Marty (Shelly) Carney; sister, Jeanna (Daniel) Newton; mother-in-law, Linda Head; father-in-law, Wesley Attebery; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Casey & Will Davis; and loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, & cousins.

Obituary for Robert Chambers
Robert Daniel Chambers, age 98, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at NHC Healthcare.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Springfield with Bro. Jerry Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends 12pm until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home. A graveside service for Mr. Chambers and his late wife, Barbara Miller Chambers (1922-2016), will be held at 2pm on Thursday, April 22 at the Mifflinburg Cemetery in their beloved hometown of Mifflinburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Springfield United Methodist Church, 511 S. Oak St., Springfield, TN 37172.
Mr. Chambers was born January 26, 1922, in Mifflinburg, PA to the late George and Margaret Gutelius Chambers. Mr. Chambers, Major, USAF Retired, was a B-24 “Liberator” bomber pilot in WWII. He was also a sponsor of the world’s only remaining flying B-24J.
Afterward, Mr. Chambers became an outside salesman for a national electrical equipment company and a member of the Springfield First United Methodist Church. During his retirement years in Springfield, in 1990, Bob prevailed with the NAA (Nashville Airport Authority) to relinquish management of the Springfield-Robertson County Airport, and formed the Springfield-Robertson County Airport Board in Springfield and served for years as Chairman. These videos are related to his achievements with the airport, which subsequently won awards from the State of Tennessee, and the proclamation of “Bob Chambers Day” from the City of Springfield, and the naming of the entry road at the airport, “Bob Chambers Road”.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Chambers is preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Ehresman and Louise Felton, his brothers, Nelson Chambers, James Chambers and Fred Chambers, and his son, Bruce George Chambers.
Mr. Chambers is survived by his son, David A. (former spouse, Janet) Chambers of Witchita, KS; daughters, Verna (George) Hall of Springfield and Deanna (Gene) Taylor of Leroy, AL; brothers, Joseph Chambers of MI and John (Barbara) Chambers of CA; grandchildren, Thomas Hall, Amy (Brandon) Hix, Jason (Christie) Taylor, Julie (Waylon) Powell, Justin (Courtney) Chambers, Daniel (Ericka) Chambers, Grace (Justin) Smith, Charity (Benjamin) Nicholson, Benjamin (Renae) Chambers, Hope (Caleb) Howell, James (Emily) Chambers and Michael (Victoria) Chambers; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Obituary for Deloris Head
Margaret Deloris (Brown) Head, 76, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021.
A graveside service officiated by Rev. Nate Partee and Rev. Bobbie Martin will be held on Monday, April 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Clarksville, TN.
There is no public visitation prior to the graveside service.
Deloris was born on March 31, 1945, to Herbert and Florine Brown of Westmoreland, TN, who preceded her in death. She was the younger sister to Charlotte Brown Jackson of Brentwood, TN, who survives her.
She is survived by her husband Tommy Head, her adoring sons Derrick (Jennifer) of Alpharetta, GA, and David of Nashville, TN, her grandson Connor, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Deloris grew up in Westmoreland, Tennessee, and attended Cumberland College, where she met Tommy. She and Tommy had been married for 54 years, and they lived their married life in a house that Tommy built on Hazel Drive. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family, her church, and her community. She will be greatly missed by all who love her.

Amanda Dawn Henley, age 41 of Greenbrier passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center.

She was born in Springfield, TN on February 16, 1980 to the late Roy Dean Henley and Marlene Kaye Knight Henley. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Crystal Phelps.
She worked in food service for McDonalds and attended Rock Springs Baptist Church. She loved and cherished her children.
She is survived by her mother, Marlene Kaye Knight Henley; children, Nicholas Henley, Noah Henley, Mahayla Henley all of Greenbrier; sisters, Deanna Henley, Brittany Henley-Bonner both of Greenbrier; grandmother, Josie Knight of Greenbrier; 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

Obituary for Barbara Reigel
Barbara Ann Armstrong Reigel, 77, of Clarksville, Tenn., died April 15, 2021, peacefully in her home.
Barbara was born on Sept. 16, 1943, in Clarksville to the late Ira Edmondson Armstrong and the late Edna Altha Marie Faulkerson Armstrong Browning. She also was preceded in death by her older brother, Jerry Armstrong, and her youngest son, John Reigel. When her three children were young, Barbara was a stay-at-home mother. Later, she worked in the retail business for about 20 years. Then, she pursued her passion for floral arrangements by co-owning an independent floral shop in Springfield, Tenn. Next, she worked at Centerstone in Springfield feeding and caring for those with mental illnesses. After many years of service, she retired to spend time with her family.
A devout Christian, Barbara dedicated herself to Lighthouse Baptist Church, Springfield. She was active in the choir, where she enjoyed making a joyful noise for the Lord. She also enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus Christ by teaching Sunday School to children and working Vacation Bible School.
Barbara was an avid fan of Wheel of Fortune. Every morning, she enjoyed a cup of coffee with her breakfast while watching her favorite television shows. She was an expert craftswoman who excelled at sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed working with her hands, planting flowers and painting. She was a fierce competitor when cards or dominos were on the table. Her strong sense of wanderlust led her to travel internationally to Germany in her younger years, and across the country to California, Texas, and Arizona throughout her life. She also loved visiting the beach any chance she got. She couldn’t help but dance and sing along anytime her favorite singer, “Gorgeous” George Strait was on the radio. Barbara cooked meals that nourished the body, but also comforted the soul. Barbara was steadfast in her love for her family. Throughout her life, there was rarely a holiday where her dining table wasn’t surrounded by relatives and friends.
Barbara is survived by her ex-husband, Lowell Reigel, Sr. of Pembroke, Ky.; her children and their spouses, Lowell Reigel, Jr. and Dawn Reigel of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Judy Jasper and Richard Jasper of Oak Grove, Ky; and her grandchildren Edmund Daniels, of Clarksville, Tenn., Christopher Reigel, of Hopkinsville, Ky., Heather Moss and Ryan Moss of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Mari-Alice Jasper and Paul Russell of Oak Grove, Ky. She also is survived by her great-grandchildren Beatrice Olivia Reigel and Hunter Reigel.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial Service. Event details will be announced at a later date. Floral arrangements may be sent to Judy Jasper at 101 Susan St., Clarksville, Tenn. 37042.

Billy Payne Batts, age 70 of Joelton, Tennessee, died Thursday, April 15, 2021 at VA Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral services were conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 1:00PM on Sunday, April 18th, with Bro. Barry Simpson officiating. Burial followed in EverRest of Cheatham with John Wylie, Logan Wylie, Randy Blessing, Shawn McKenzie, Ricky Henderson, Tracy Johnson, Roy Wendell Batts, and Tony Ambler-Wright serving as pallbearers.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.
Mr. Batts was born on July 22, 1950 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late Henry & Vera Evans Batts. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was retired after 41 years with Blue Ridge X Ray. Billy was very detailed and was a loving husband, father, and proud paw paw. He was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Batts; and brother, Ronnie Batts.
Survivors include his daughter, Mandy (John) Wylie; brother, Roy Wendell (Linda) Batts; sisters, Myra Evans, Bonnie Ward; grandson, Logan Wylie; and nine loving nieces and nephews.

He was a Manufacturing Engineer and a member of Covenant Confirmers Church. He loved his family very much and longed to be reunited with his wife, Dona.

He was born in Nashville, TN on March 5, 1947 to the late Arthur Jr. and Angela C. Goodrich Mason. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles Bernhardt; sister, Regina Mason; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam “Raymond” and Flora Mae Groves.
He was employed in the Entertainment Industry for 46 years. He was a Stage Hand on the Hee Haw and Johnny Cash shows. He loved and faithfully supported Brenda through her battle with Leukemia. He loved his boys, Jake, his Vette and Nick and he attended Battle Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by is wife of 51 years, Brenda Joyce Groves Mason; sister, Allison (David) Gafford; Loved children, Bry and Rebecca Roberson; precious grandchildren, Nicholas (Ashley) Roberson, Jacob Roberson; great-grandchildren, Ryland Roberson, Hudson Roberson; Son, Troy (Heather) Mason and 4 grandchildren.

He worked in HVAC installation for Roger Denton Heating and Air until becoming disabled and was a member of Cross Plains Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing Bingo.

Michael “Mike” Edwin England, age 63 of Joelton, Tennessee, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services were conducted at Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Pleasant View at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 17 with Bro. Randy Riggs and Pastor Mike Hollis officiating. Burial followed at Good Springs Cemetery with Russ England, Mark England, Kendall Felts, Curtis Wheeler, John Dowlen, and Jesse Guy serving as pallbearers. Chuck Hoosier and Matthew England served as honorary pallbearers.
The family received friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Friday from 4:00PM-8:00PM and again on Saturday at the church from 12:00PM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.
Mike was born on June 17, 1957 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Henry and Jean Umberger England. He was a retired U.S Army veteran in the 82nd Airborne Division and was a paratrooper and also was retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 28 years of service. Mike loved to travel and one of his greatest accomplishments was visiting all 50 states. He enjoyed playing video games and loved his family very much. He was a member of Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Randle England; and father-in-law, Wayne Felts.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gayle Felts England; sons, Russ England & Mark England; brother, Matthew (Lisa) England; sister, Tammie (Charles Douglas) Cartwright; mother-in-law, Ruth Felts; brother-in-law, Kendall (Sandie) Felts; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Duncan was born on April 8th, 1941 in Monterey, Tennessee to the late James Robert and Bertha Lee Duncan. He was a Air Force veteran and was a retired truck driver.
Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jessie Duncan; and a grandson, Dallas Edward Atkinson.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Lee Wayman Duncan; sons, Andy (Shonda) Duncan of Michigan and Eddie (Elizabeth) Atkinson of Ashland City; daughters, Shelly (Robert) Tant of Ashland City, Debbie Duncan (Brett Sloan) of South Carolina and Tina Duncan of Michigan; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a sister, JoAnn Geer of Ohio.

Dontarius Jayrell “DT” Long, 25, of Springfield, passed from this life on Wednesday April 7, 2021.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday April 10th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Washington and Pastor Johnny Norton officiating. Interment followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Allen Rose, Dalton Hall, Hayleigh Ellis, Adrienne West, David King, and Timmie Barbee serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were BJ, Dayshon Darden, and Michael McVay. The family received friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Dontarius was born April 14, 1995 in Springfield. He was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 2013 and was a member of South Haven Baptist Church. Sheridan Decker Gove, 49, of Spring Hill, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his home.

Sheridan was born on September 1, 1971 in Laconia, New Hampshire to Stephen Decker Gove and the late Sherilyn Ackerman. Sheridan worked for Metro Nashville Government in the IT Department. He was a devoted father, liked by anyone who met him. He also had a great love for STAR WARS, Legos, and video games. Sheridan had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by; his son, Haskell Williams of Franklin, daughter, Torin Gove of Franklin, Brother, Brian Gove of Maine, Nephews, Deaclan Dragon, and Keegan Dragon of Maine.

Karen Elizabeth Williams, age 68, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Thomas West in Nashville.
Funeral services were conducted at Clarksville Highway Church of Christ in Joelton at 1:00PM on Wednesday, April 14th, with Bro. David Hunter and Bro. Greg Smith officiating. Burial followed in Joelton Hills Memory Gardens with Terry Whitley, Tommy Adcock, Tracy Williams, Kenneth Whitaker, Kevin Whitaker, Joshua Whitaker, Ricky Williams, and Nelson Chambliss serving as pallbearers.
The family received friends at the church from 11AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.
Mrs. Williams was born on September 22, 1952 in St. Catharines, Ontario Canada to the late Keith & Marie Corbett Thompson. She was a retired teacher from the Cheatham County school system. She was a very compassionate, loving and encouraging person. She always put others first, sending notes of encouragement and being a prayer warrior. Karen loved her kids that she taught, loved her Lord, and most of all her grandkids and family. She was a member of the Clarksville Highway Church of Christ where at one time she served as secretary.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Dennis Williams; son, Jonathan Williams; daughter, Sharon (Daniel) Byrdsong; brothers, Trevor (Lisa) Thompson, David (Cathy) Thompson; sister, Mary (Steve) Ellis, and grandchildren, Luke Byrdsong, Andrew Byrdsong, Matthew Byrdsong, and Isaiah Byrdsong.

Franky was born on January 21, 1980 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late David Hull and Betty (Mickey) Harrison. He worked as a manager for McDonalds in Ashland City for many years. He had a huge heart, best friend to many, and never met a stranger. He had an infectious smile, was loved by many and loved his family dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Vince Hull; sister, Angel Hull; and niece, Addyson Hull.

Age 48 of White House went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 9, 2021 at his home. He was born February 23, 1973 in Paris, TN to William & Ronda Peery Michael. He worked as an Inventory Supervisor for Pro Pack and was a member of Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene. He was a 1991 graduate of Henry County High School. He enjoyed playing soccer, had served as a referee and coached many Rec teams. Chris was also very active in the Music City Tres Dias Community.
He is preceded in death by his father, William “Billy” Michael; maternal grandparents, Bill and Macy Peery; paternal grandparents, Bill and Bergie Michael; step-grandparents, Tom and Peggy Hart. Marjorie Hudgens Feltner, age 93, of Springfield, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
A graveside service was held Monday, April 12, 2021, at 11am in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Milton Knox officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers. There was no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Mrs. Feltner was born November 8, 1927 in Pleasant View, TN to the late Herschel and Beatrice Browning Harris. She worked at Wilson Sporting Goods and ACME Boot until her retirement and she was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Feltner is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hudgens, her companion, Clarence Owen and her brothers, Billy Harris and George Harris.
Mrs. Feltner is survived by her son and his wife, Robin and Marty Hudgens of Springfield; daughters, Gwen Ankenbauer and Janie Hudgens, both of Springfield; and grandchildren, Zane Ankenbauer and Charlie Grace Hudgens.

Mrs. Burton was born August 17, 1951 in Coaticook, Quebec to the late Gerard C. Laperle and Mrs. Kathleen Padner Laperle. She was a homemaker and attended the Episcopal Church. She loved her family very much and enjoyed her time with them. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved her black labs and took pride in animal rescue. She also enjoyed caring and watching out for her neighbors.
In addition to her father Mrs. Burton is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Burton, Jr.

Patsy was born on October 17, 1951 in Marblehead, Massachusetts to the late Carl and Gertrude Sutton Freeman. She retired as a nurse at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville.

Age 68 of White House went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 8, 2021 at his home. He was born October 8, 1952 in Jackson, Mississippi to Charles K. Hawkins and Kathleen Bynum. He worked as a CNC Operator/Manager for Siemens Energy before his retirement and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. For the past 12 years, he had donated much of his time to the Hope Center Ministries, including leading Bible study.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Brickell Hawkins; twin sister, Kay Fortenberry. He is survived by his daughters, Angela (Porter) McKee, Pearl, Mississippi and Melanie Weaver, Orlinda, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren, Madison DesMarais and Austin Atchison; 2 great-grandchildren Cayden DesMarais and Brayden Atchison.

Benjamin Michael Pitt, age 46 passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at NorthCrest Medical Center.
Funeral services were held 11am, Tuesday April 13th at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier with Pastor William Little officiating. Burial followed in Greenbrier Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family received friends 4pm to 8pm on Monday, April 12th and 10am until time of service on Tuesday, April 13th at the funeral home.
He was born in Madison, TN on April 7, 1975 to William Pitt and Dani Runyon Pitt.
He served in the US Army as a Gunner with the 101st Airborne and served in Afghanistan. He was a talented musician and loved playing music. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William C. Pitt, Jr and Don Runyon.
He is survived by son, Isaiah Pitt of IL; daughter, Daniella Pitt of WI; father, William (Jennie) Pitt of Madison; mother, Dani Pitt of IL; grandmother, Thelma Pitt of Greenbrier and one grandson.

Scott was born on February 14, 1970 in Nashville, Tennessee to Linda Johns Raines and the late William Hunt. He was a plumber in Facilities Maintenance Department at Centennial Medical Center. He loved fishing, boats, vacations, family and the Tennessee Titans. He loved his furry animal Sasha. Scott loved reading his Bible and was always sharing with people at work and praying over them. He was a great individual to many and was a Christian.

Tim was born in Nashville, TN on February 25, 1965 to the late Louis A. and Ann L. Gammon Calvo.
He was also preceded in death by sons, Nathaniel Calvo, Timothy R. Calvo Jr., Christopher Malugen; brothers, David Calvo and Christopher Calvo.
He loved his family very much. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren doing whatever they wanted usually. He enjoyed working on his ’57 Chevy and doing whatever he could to help anyone in need.

Obituary for Maxine Walker
Maxine Lee Walker, age 92, passed into her eternal home with her Lord and Savior on April 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Maxine was born on November 21, 1928 to the late Edward and Minnie Browning Lee in Cedar Hill, TN. She was preceded in death by her only brother, Harold Lee of Kingston Springs, TN.
Maxine and her husband of 74 years, Charles Raymond “Charlie” Walker were blessed with three children; Daryle (Wanda) Walker of Springfield, Linda (Hoyte) Owen of Murfreesboro and Bonnie (Jim) Drew of Springfield, IL , 9 grandchildren; Todd (Julie) Walker of Clarksville, Adam (Kim) Walker, of Cottontown, Megan (Nico) Gregali of Thompson Station, Will (Jaymie) Owen of Murfreesboro, Jake (Kristi) Owen of Mufreesboro, Chris (Kristen) Drew of San Carlos, CA, Kelly (Dustin) Henry of Springfield, IL, Kassie (Steve) Redmond of Kansas City, MO, and Jimmy (Suz) Drew of Oviedo, FL. Her legacy will be extended for generations to come through her 19 (soon to be 20) great-grandchildren, of whom she was most proud.
Though Maxine was employed by Acme Boot Company for 28 years, it can be said that she worked literally all of her life from childhood to as recently as two weeks ago! Gardening, food preparation and ministering to her family and friends through food were both her gifts and her passion. Serving her Lord through her church, supporting Charlie, and loving, feeding, and “cheering on” her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her priorities.
The family is grateful for the dedicated care provided by Caregiver Linda Woodson.
Public graveside services were open to all family and friends, held at 2pm, April 8, 2021 at Springfield Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Chris Warren and Reverend Kim Moore officiating. Pallbearers were her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were her great-grandchildren.
There was no visitation prior to the graveside service.
