Obituary for Cheryl Darlene Finnell
Cheryl Darlene Finnell, 80, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Springfield, TN on February 13, 2019. Cheryl was the daughter of Henry N. (Hank) Bulgier and Shirley Lewis and began her life in Inglewood, California on November 5, 1938. She graduated from Big Bear High School in California and was crowned Snow Queen during her senior year. She was a lifelong learner attending classes at the University of North Florida and Florida Community College at Jacksonville.
Cheryl took advantage of many opportunities working in different types of environments during her career. She worked as a billing agent for a trucking firm in Belton, South Carolina and again in Birmingham, Alabama, real estate sales and interior design in Jacksonville, Florida, ownership and management of The Sailmaker Restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida, and worked for Jacksonville University in the catering department for many years.
Cheryl is survived by her children David “Bud” Oaklund of Springfield, TN, Denise (Doug) Satterfield of York, SC, Mona (Karl) Kelley of Springfield, TN, Liz (Gerald) Reed of Jasper, AL, and Dana (Larry) Oaklund of Fort Lauderdale, FL., 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, brother BOB Lewis of Lake Isabella, CA, and a special cousin, Lynell Withers of Russellville, AR,
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bill and Steve, daughter Paula, and beloved spouse of 21 years, Daniel Finnell.
She loved keeping her mind active with crossword puzzles, Sudoku, Scrabble, and cross stitch. She also enjoyed long walks on the beach collecting shells.
A celebration of life will be held on a later date

Obituary for Annie Charlene Hulsey Farmer
Annie Charlene Hulsey Farmer, 75, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday February 10, 2019 at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday February 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Joey Farmer, Tyler Farmer, Billy Holman, Blake Kimbrough, Dewayne Hulsey, Jesse Bilyeu, Cory Spencer, and Brandon Kimbrough serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Farmer was born March 1, 1943 in Robertson County to the late Eddie Lawrence and Ethel Woodard Hulsey. She was a homemaker and a member of North Springfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Farmer loved gardening, flower arranging, decorating her home, and especially enjoyed cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Joel Farmer, her son: Gary Farmer, her grandson: Richard Bridges, and by her siblings: Hilda Aguggia, Brenda Jones, Ruby DiDonato, Jean Bush, Jimmy, Kenneth, and Billy Hulsey.
Mrs. Farmer is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Mark and Brenda Farmer of Springfield, Robert Alan Farmer of Springfield, daughters and sons-in-law: Connie Darlene and Alan Bridges of Ridgetop, Lisa and Robert Collins of Springfield, brothers and sisters-in-law: Jerry and Kathy Hulsey of White House, Roger and Vicki Hulsey of Springfield, sister: Bea Spain of Nashville, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Obituary for Jimmy Junior Parks
Jimmy Junior Parks, 66, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday February 10, 2019 at his home.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday February 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Heflin officiating. Interment followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jeff Jones, Junior Jones, Jay Jones, Joe Jones, William “Bubba” Smith, Allen Parks, Larry Parks, Jr., Bobby Parks, Jr., Tim Parks, and Nicholas Keen Parks serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were be Todd and Troy Parks. The family received friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Jimmy was born March 26, 1952 in Springfield to the late Jodie Clarence and Mary Anna Grubbs Parks. He was a retired machine operator and was of the Baptist faith. Jimmy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the VFW Post 2120. He loved singing, karaoke, riding motorcycles, and was an Oakland Raiders fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Larry Parks, Sr., and Tommy Parks, by his nephews: B.J. Samon and Wayne Stephenson, Jr., by his great nephews: Logan Stephenson and Daniel Dugger, Jr., and by his great niece: Alisha Samon.
Jimmy is survived by his wife: Carlene Owen Parks of Springfield, his daughter and son-in-law: Marcy and Daniel Droog of Rustburg, VA, his step-children: Brandon Suter of Greenbrier, Michelle Suter of Puryear, his brothers and sisters-in-law: Billy and Doris Parks of Springfield, Bobby and Joyce Parks of Cross Plains, William and Mary Parks of Springfield, Tammy Parks of Springfield, his sisters and brothers-in-law: Mildred Abbott of Springfield, Betty and J.W. Jones of Springfield, Shirley and Wayne Stephenson of Springfield, his grandchildren: Joseph and Johanna Droog, his step grandchildren: Gage and Sam Suter, and by his best friend: his dog Raider.

Obituary for Dorothy S. Warren
Dorothy S. Warren, age 87 of Springfield, died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday, February 9, 2019 ay 2:00 PM in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY with Dale Swearingen officiating. There was no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Mrs. Warren was born February 28, 1931 in Logan County, KY to the late Roland and Gladys Robertson Sharp. She was a homemaker, busy rearing her seven children and being a farmer’s wife. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bryant “Bud” Warren, Sr.; a son, Gerald Warren; and brothers, Ralph Sharp and Floyd Heatherly.
She is survived by her sons, Bryant Warren, Jr. and wife Wanda, Dwight Warren and wife Vicky, and Richie Warren, all of Springfield; daughters, Vickie Warren of Adairville, KY, Hope Poole and companion, Randy Gass of Franklin. Ky, and Wilma Barone and husband Lyle of Clarksville; daughter-in-law, Jan Warren of Springfield; sister, Rena Mae Scott of Adairville, KY; 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Obituary for Larry Hester, Sr.
“Larry” Gene Hester, Sr. age 69, of Ashland City, Tennessee, died Tuesday, February 13, 2019 at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Dr. Charles Worrell and Dr. Richard Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Mallory’s Cemetery in Chapmansboro, Tennessee with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, February 15, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.
Mr. Hester was born on April 15, 1949 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Billie and Dorothy Weaver Hester. He was retired from the Nashville National Cemetery and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He attended Mallory’s United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, David Hester; and son-in-law, Rob Hollingsworth.
Mr. Hester is survived by his wife, Beverly Hester; son, Larry Hester, Jr.; daughter, Nikki Hollingsworth; and brother, Ronnie Hester.

Obituary for Danny Ray Owsley
Danny Ray Owsley, age 86, of Greenbrier passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at NorthCrest Medical Center.
The family will receive friends 10am to 11am on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier and a Memorial Service will follow at 11am with Bro. Jon Briggs and Bro. Steve Sorrells officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dover, TN.
Mr. Owsley was born November 11, 1932 in Nitro, WV to the late Ray and Helen Margaret Poff Owsley.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Emma Frances Owsley and son, Keith Dwayne Owsley.
He served in the US Army and was a school teacher / Coach in Stewart County, Jo Byrns and Greenbrier High Schools. While at Greenbrier he started the Dixie Youth Baseball program. He also coached basketball and football. He was an alderman in Greenbrier, President of the Robertson County Educators Association, member of the Lions Club and American Legion.
He is survived by children, Daniel Owsley of Greenbrier, Patricia (Jim) Rue of Springfield, Pam Owsley of Springfield; brother, Dexter (Susie) Owsley of Nitro, WV; grandchildren, Devan (Karen) Owsley, Emily Owsley, Noah Owsley; great-grandchildren, Raiden Owsley and Ryann Owsley.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made at any F&M Bank to the Owsley Student Scholarship Fund.

Patricia Ann Farrar Wilkins, age 75, of Springfield, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 2pm at the Hillcrest Church of Christ with Brother Marvin Crouch and Brother Joe Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with John Farrar, Kevin Litchford, Brandon McGregor, Bruce Myers, Dennis Farrar and Lannie Farrar serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Stan Hasty, Jeff Warick, Joe Donoho, Harold Jackson and David Hagga.
Visitation will be held Thursday at the church from 10am until the hour of service at 2pm.
Mrs. Wilkins was born May 4, 1944 in Fayetteville, TN to the late Donald W. and Audrey Chapman Farrar. She worked as a dental receptionist and was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Wilkins is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Wilkins, Sr. She is survived by her son, Jim Wilkins of Nashville; daughters, Joy Annette Sumner of CA and Karen Lynette Sprouse of Goodlettsville; brothers, Jerry (Michal) Farrar of Germantown, TN and Donald Chapman (Marty) Farrar of Ashland City; grandchildren, Samantha Annette (Jeff) Warick and Emily Shea (Brandon) McGregor; great-grandchildren, Audrey Warick, Nathan Warick and Levi McGregor; and close friends, Faye Jackson, Peggy Hasty and Linda Donoho.

Bertie Irene Claywell, age 86, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019.
Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Thaxton and Bryant Claywell; daughter-in-law, Sherry Thaxton; and her grandson, Jeremy Thaxton. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Thaxton Simpkins (David) ; son, Wayne Thaxton; grandchildren, Angela (Cleve) Sanders, Darrell (Tina) Thaxton, and Brandi (Shane) Claborn; great-grandchildren, Adam Sanders, Aaron Sanders, Autumn Sanders, Lacey Claborn, Kaley Claborn, Dalton Thaxton, Kelsey Thaxton; and one great-great-granddaughter, Kaisley.
Her family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday, February 15, at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville. A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 15, at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

Sandra Sue Jackson, age 75, of Greenbrier, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at her home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 10am in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Dewey Keys officiating. Burial followed in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Anthony Henry, Stephen Henderson, Aaron Bales, James Bales, John Bales, Joshua Crawford, Daniel Sharp, Cody Crawford, Brandon Osborne, Jacob Harned and Logan Morgan serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Jackson was born December 7, 1943 in Springfield to the late Leonard and Emma Bryant Batey. She was a homemaker and member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Jackson is preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Wayne Henry, second husband, Bobby Frank Harned and third husband, Joe Edward Jackson, her brother, Ronnie Batey and her grandson, Tyler Allen Henry.

Hazel Jean Gore, age 86 0f Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Luther Gore. She is survived by her sons, Hank Gore, Jack Gore, Marty (Kathy) Gore and James Gore; grandchildren, Ashley (Greg) Mayes, Jennifer (Curtis) Earles, Kayla Troutt, Devin Gore, Jena Gore, Zachary Alan Gore, and Katlyn (Alex) Bonnell; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild also survives.
A Celebration of Life graveside service was conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13 at Beech Cemetery. Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Cynthia Darlene Krisle Baldwin, age 59, of Cedar Hill, TN passed away Friday, February 08, 2019 at Centennial Medical Center.
The family received friends 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 10th and 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, February 11. The funeral service followed at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Burial followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens.
Cynthia was born in Nashville, TN on April 4, 1959 to the late Wilbern E. and Ellen M. Clinard Krisle.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Willie Henley and a brother, Mark Krisle.
She was an RN at Signature Health Care in Clarksville. She was known as one who enjoyed life, her grandchildren and family. Her job was caring for everyone around her.
She is survived by husband, Ronnie Baldwin; son, Charles “Bubba” (Stacy Saxton) Krisle; sisters, Bonnie (Kenneth) Morris, Rachel Keeble; grandchildren, Maleah Speers, Kylee Read, Knox Krisle; niece, Sharon Sabie; nephews, John Davies, Justin Krisle, Josh Krisle, David Tipton and Steven Tipton.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Lawrence Edward Lassiter, age 67, of Springfield, passed away February 8, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Lassiter was born August 25, 1951 in Springfield to the late Ray Dean and Lorine England Lassiter. He served in the Army, was a supervisor for Bellsouth and a member of Gideons Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents Mr. Lassiter is preceded in death by his grand daughter, Brittany Hart; brothers, Kenneth Lassiter and Buford Lassiter; and sister, Lois Ann White.
