Ridgetop Man Charged In Dollar General Robbery

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Ridgetop man is in custody this evening facing charges of aggravated robbery after Springfield Police ID him as a suspect in a Dollar General robbery in December.

The robbery occurred just before the store (located at 1017 Glade Road MAP) was set to close on December 2, 2020. SEE VIDEO OF ROBBERY BELOW The store clerk told police that a white male entered the store, displayed a handgun, and took the money from the cash register.

Springfield Police detectives recovered evidence that identified 43-year-old, Homer Cobb, of Ridgetop, TN as a possible suspect during the investigation.

On February 9, 2021, Springfield Police detectives, along with the assistance of Robertson County Sheriff’s deputies, executed a search warrant at the residence of Homer Cobb. A firearm and other evidence linking Homer Cobb to the aggravated robbery was recovered from the residence.

Homer Cobb was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and is currently being held at the Robertson County Jail under a $100,000.00 bond.

Springfield Dollar General Robbed At Gunpoint

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Springfield Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man pictured, wanted in an aggravated armed robbery.

On Wednesday, just before 10 pm, the suspect entered Dollar General located at 1017 Glade Road and pointed a gun at the clerk.

Video surveillance obtained by police shows the suspect enter the store, demand money, and flee the area on foot.
