Today’s Top Stories (Three Stories) 2 Fires, 1 Crash

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Monday was a busy day for first responders in Robertson County.

TWO CAR CRASH On HWY 25

Around 1:pm a two-vehicle crash sent three people to area hospitals. Fortunately, no life-threatening injuries were reported.  The crash occurred on Hwy 25 at the Hyde Road/Youngville Rd intersection. (Location of crash)

Crews from the Orlinda Fire Department and North Robertson Fire & rescue responded quickly and Hwy 25 reopened in about an hour. Smokey Barn News was live on the scene. Here’s a look at the crash. MORE PHOTOS BELOW

FIRE AT LEGACY GOLF COURSE

Officials say a discarded cigarette is the likely cause of a grass/woods fire at Legacy Golf Course in Springfield. (Exact location of fire) Firefighters from North Robertson Fire & rescue, Springfield, White House Community Station 52 and Greenbrier were called in to battle the fire. The Robertson County Emergency Management Agency was also called to the scene.

According to Springfield Fire Chief Jimmy Hamill, the fire damaged about an acre of woods and grass. The golf course green sustained minimal damage. “It was fortunate we were called early on,” Hamill said.

Hamill said with the very dry conditions combined with the wind they will be coming back every two hours to check on the fire. Smokey Barn News was live on the scene, below is a recording of that broadcast. We also have more photos below.

GARAGE TOTAL LOSS IN AFTERNOON FIRE

A garage just outside of Ridgetop is a total loss after a fire that started just before 4 pm.  The garage is located on Walker Rd near Dividing Ridge Rd. MAP  Firefighters from the Ridgetop Fire Department, White House Community Stations 52 and 51 and Greenbrier Fire all battled the blaze.

The Robertson County Emergency Management Agency was also called to the scene. Firefighters prevented the fire from traveling to adjacent structures and woods but the garage/barn is a total loss. A vehicle was also destroyed in the fire.
